Any Banks Offering 7% Interest on Savings Accounts Now?

As rates creep upward, in part because of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates, we’re starting to talk about how savings accounts may one day offer 7% APY. Is that day today? You can take a multiple of that, say 2x or 3x. Or you can just say “I’m valuing it at $X” and base your decisions on that. The benefit of this exercise is it can focus your thinking on what is “worth it” for you. For issues related to money, it’s easy. If you make $20 an hour, would you do a job that pays just $5? (exclude taxes and other factors that might adjust the numbers a bit). The challenge now becomes the variable nature of time – not every hour is worth the same. It requires a bit of nuance to any type of calculation. Let me explain. Table of Contents Your Are Always Selling Your Time How to Value Your Time What if you hate your job? What if you’re on vacation? What if
